    Getting married has many effects on my life. First, after getting married, I have to take care of more people and daily affairs. And when I make a decision, I have to think about my husband, my children and so on. Second, I must be more responsible. If we have problems, my husband and I will deal with them together because we are a couple and either of us is other’s support. The last effect is that I learned how to control emotions. If we argue, we would calm down first, and then communicate with each other. These effects make me more responsible and know how to keep a marriage.

    Many people are concerned about the issue about death penalty. Some of them think it should exist, while the others have the opposite views. I think that the death penalty should exist. First of all, it deters people from committing crimes. When people feel like committing crimes, they will think of the consequence and stop doing what they want to do. Second, it makes criminals pay the ultimate price. Because they killed people, they had to be responsible for what they had done. No one has the power to deprive of one's life. Finally, death penalty rids society of menaces. Then we don't have to live under the fear any more. Although it sometimes may kill an innocent person, the probability is tiny. It is for all the above-mentioned reasons that I support the existence of the death penalty.

   I once lived in Taipei, and worked as a volunteer in a hospital. It really felt good to get the opportunities to help people. One morning an elderly woman who was badly hurt in an accident was sent to the hospital. Her family was anxious, and asked the doctors and nurses for help. I rushed to them, and did them a favor before the doctors and nurses came. After a four-hour operation, the elderly woman was out of danger. But she lost one of her legs and she had to stay in the hospital for at least one month. During these days she stayed in the hospital, I went to visit her and took care of her every day. At first, she was always in a depressing mood and she didn't want to talk to others, but I never gave up chatting with her and told her that she will get well soon. Finally, she opened her mind and talked to me. I was glad that she was reborn, and we also became good friends. One month later, she was released from the hospital. We still kept in touch and we often helped somebody else those who were in need. We are lucky for meeting each other and doing something meaningful together. We won't let the chain of love disappear.
