  It's easy to prove that black is a better collector of solar energy than white. All you need is two tin cans, black and white paint and room thermometer. First, paint the cans-one black, one white. Second, fill the cans with water. After that, put the cans in direct sunlight for three hours. Finally, check the temperature of the water in the cans and compare. You will see the temperature of the water in the black can is higher. This proves that the black is a better collector of solar energy than white.
